Well, Since You Asked Me: Hope Hicks – Call Your Lawyer’s Office (Jo Becker/Mark Mazzetti/Matt Apuzzo/Maggie Haberman)

Key Take-Away:  Hope Hicks is going to prison. If the allegations as reported by The New York Times are accurate, and they appear to have multiple sources that can corroborate them, she’s not only complicit, she assisted in the destruction of evidence. And she can NOT claim Executive Privilige. Her actions speak to someone that is not only naive, but supremely stupid. I’d be shocked if she doesn’t try to cut a deal.  Mueller not only has witnesses, I’m fairly certain, he has tapes of her, emails and other documents.

Well, Since You Asked Me: Secret Memo Hints At A New Republican Target – Rod Rosenstein (Nicholas Fandos/Adam Goldman/Sharon LaFraniere)

Key Take-Aways:  We are now at the stage where folks are throwing whatever they can in the arena. It’s actually pretty remarkable to see the desperation and the lengths they are willing to go. Consequences be damned. I think we can all agree that regardless of what comes from this, there needs to be a thorough cleansing of Congress. Folks simply need to be fired as they aren’t fit to serve. And Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY) and House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WS 1st), need to be top of the list. Their lack of Leadership during this period is beyond terrible.

Well, Since You Asked Me: John Kelly Report To The IDIOT’s Office (Maggie Haberman)

Key Take-Aways:  John Kelly is discoverying that life comes at you fast in The IDIOT’s Administration. He should have learned from EVERY other person that has out shown The IDIOT. It will hasten your exit stage left. The interviews he conducted last week, combined with the press he received from the #TrumpShutdown and being called President Kelly sealed the deal.

To add injury to insult, Ivanka has been given the job of trying to find his replacement. Ouch! Look for Kelly to be gone shortly after February 8, at the latest.

Well, Since You Asked Me: Mueller Has His Man (Renato Mariotti)

Key Take-Away:  Renato lays out the case he believes Mueller has. And this is without all the facts that Mueller has. He’s simply using what’s in the public arena, and even that is quite damning. I’d also add that it’s obvious that Mueller felt compelled to move on this piece now to parry any additional attempts The IDIOT planned to make with respect to firing him. We also now have greater clarity into why allies of The IDIOT have been in a frenzy the last month or so. Should be a fun February.

Well, Since You Asked Me: Soul Of A Nation (Charles Blow)

Key Take-Away:  There is not much I disagree with Charles on and this column is no exception. He truly is one of the Shining Stars from this Shitshow. And if you’re not following him, you should.

Blow touches on something that every Person of Color knows to be true. If this mess or a hint of any of this mess had occurred while 44 was either contemplating, running or serving as POTUS, I have little doubt that he would have been removed from office. Possibly forcibly at that.

The degrading that The IDIOT has inflicted on the Office and by extension the United States will take years to undo. Domestically and Internationally. I suspect that as soon as he’s removed, and a sensible Congress is elected, we’ll see some changes in who can run and what we must know about them, at a minimum.

In the meantime, we all sit back and wait on Mueller to do his job. And try without much success not to look too much at our watch.
