Well, Since You Asked Me: Nine Questions About The IDIOT’s Businesses & Possible Conflicts Of Interest (David Fahrenthold/Jonathan O’Connell)

Key Take-Aways: It is clear that the Conflicts of Interest with this man are pervasive. It will be interesting to see what measures are enacted to avoid a repeat of this. It’s also clear that The IDIOT, his family and his friends are using the Government to prop up a string of failing businesses. Shame on us for allowing this to happen. At the end of this, a lot of folks will have to answer for their actions. It will not be pretty.

Well, Since You Asked Me: The IDIOT Sought Release Of Classified Russia Memo (Ashley Parker/Rosalind Helderman/Josh Dawsey/Carol Leonning)

Key Take-Aways:  You start seeing stories like this when one side is losing very badly. And it’s not Mueller’s Team. Folks in the White House are now at the stage where they will begin to leak stories that paint them in sympathetic lights. They all want a soft landing spot when this shitshow is over. So I’d look for more background pieces like this. The fact that the IDIOT can’t seem to understand that the DOJ doesn’t work for him, but for the American Public has caused him to commit numerous acts of Obstruction of Justice. Either he’s incapable of grasping this or doesn’t care. And having his people go out and make the argument that it’s not really Obstruction because he didn’t go through with the firing, is ridiculous. And they know this.

Well, Since You Asked Me: Mueller Has His Man (Renato Mariotti)

Key Take-Away:  Renato lays out the case he believes Mueller has. And this is without all the facts that Mueller has. He’s simply using what’s in the public arena, and even that is quite damning. I’d also add that it’s obvious that Mueller felt compelled to move on this piece now to parry any additional attempts The IDIOT planned to make with respect to firing him. We also now have greater clarity into why allies of The IDIOT have been in a frenzy the last month or so. Should be a fun February.

Well, Since You Asked Me: Soul Of A Nation (Charles Blow)

Key Take-Away:  There is not much I disagree with Charles on and this column is no exception. He truly is one of the Shining Stars from this Shitshow. And if you’re not following him, you should.

Blow touches on something that every Person of Color knows to be true. If this mess or a hint of any of this mess had occurred while 44 was either contemplating, running or serving as POTUS, I have little doubt that he would have been removed from office. Possibly forcibly at that.

The degrading that The IDIOT has inflicted on the Office and by extension the United States will take years to undo. Domestically and Internationally. I suspect that as soon as he’s removed, and a sensible Congress is elected, we’ll see some changes in who can run and what we must know about them, at a minimum.

In the meantime, we all sit back and wait on Mueller to do his job. And try without much success not to look too much at our watch.

Well, Since You Asked Me: Dana Boente To Become FBI General Counsel (Sari Horwitz/Matt Zapotosky)

Key Take-Away:  This is simply a brilliant move. Dana Boente will leave his post to become General Counsel for the FBI. That literally is the largest middle finger Wray could send to The IDIOT and Jeff Sessions. The man that got the ball rolling on #Russiagate and was the lead in leading the first wave of Grand Juries into #Russiagate, will now serve as GC of the FBI. I’m almost certain this move was orchestrated by Mueller, McCabe and Comey. This is simply a brilliant move.
